When it comes search engines, google is still the king, and they are doing everything they can to maintain their lead,   in the hope of furnishing it’s search users better results, according to their official blog, this change impacts 11.8% organic search results, in another word, google thinks about 12% of it’s search results are really bad and need to manipulated. They planned and started the update about one year ago, maybe that’s why some of my ranks dropped out of first 10 pages, the good thing is that those keywords promoted by content rich links are not affected, and a few of them even gained a few positions, it’s obvious that linking campaign the old way is the thing of past, probably due to link spamming sites being downgraded by google.

What is old way of link building any way? a lot of marketing companies did and are doing the plain link building, they will get links from any websites which accept adding links, these websites will only be updated when new links are being added, it’s safe to assume all of them are trash, the name of link spamming sites is justified. The latest google update will definitely downgrade most if not all of these sites, the links on those spamming sites won’t work anymore.

A few real world examples will help to explain what I said. When I got into online marketing long time ago, I started with this keyword, Coil Chain, it was old way of link building all the way, lately I figured that every site in the campaign had way too many links, worst yet, those sites had no content at all. This strategy worked in the beginning, lately the keyword link stayed on the first page for a while, the party was over when google updated it’s algorithm. Now let’s look at another keyword, chain pullers, most back links for this keyword are from articles and posts, with very few plain links, you can imagine how this keyword ranks. Now contextual links win the battle, then what? Actually this is all about content, when you create unique and quality content, you will attract readers as well as search engines. It’s never too late to build good blogs for business purpose, such as this interesting blog, sherri hill dresses , I build it as a hobby and kept adding good or mediocre content, the result? I got nice ranking for a few realy nice keywords now. As we can see, blog marketing with great content is the way to go. If you can build a group of your own blogs, something like Tie Down, then you will have a powerful weapon in your SEO arsenal.

Bottom line is that you should create great content, publish and share with people, and put your keywords in the context you’re good to go, this strategy will prevail in short or long term. Whatever you do, you will need persistence and patience, you shouldn’t expect things to improve overnight, it doesn’t matter you’re doing SEO or advertising your business, now all we need to do is to share our love for creating and sharing great content and not to worry about the ranking every day. Ezine is one of the best article directories out there, a new article will be indexed and cached in less than an hour, and some popular blogs will get your post indexed in minutes, there venues are ideal for promoting your site, here I am going to show you an article in article directory or on a blog, like this Chain Binder , nice writing, good content, published on popular site, all these points make it perfect for SEO.

Last but not least, we have hot social media now, no one can afford to not using them. For wordpress blogs, I recommend twitter tools, then go ahead register a new twitter account and app, set up API credentials in your twitter tools option, then make sure every new post will post a new tweet, it’s easy and really useful, if you don’t use this tool it’s just too bad.
